Almond oil is a true skincare hero with versatile benefits. Whether you have dry, sensitive, or blemished skin, this valuable plant oil is suitable for every skin type. It moisturizes, softens, and supports regeneration. Learn more about the fascinating effects of almond oil in this article and why it should be an essential part of your skincare routine.
The effect of almond oil
Almond oil is one of the most popular oils in the cosmetics industry because it's such a great all-rounder and suitable for everyone. Thanks to its rich, moisturizing properties, it leaves your skin soft and silky. Because it's particularly mild and gentle, it can be used by everyone – from babies to grandmothers. It's important to keep in mind that vegetable oils can be found in refined or unrefined (also known as cold-pressed) versions. We use cold-pressed vegetable oils whenever possible, as these offer various benefits for the skin.
All-rounder for your skin
- Regulates your skin's moisture balance
- Contains vitamin B, which supports your skin in regeneration
- Contains vitamin E, which acts as a protection against free radicals that can otherwise attack your skin's collagen and cause cell damage
- Is non- comedogenic , meaning it lets your pores breathe and does not clog
- Reduces skin irritations
- Is anti-inflammatory
Application of cold-pressed almond oil
You can use almond oil for various skin needs:
- For dry skin - YEAH! Almond oil stimulates collagen production and optimally protects your skin from drying out.
- For sensitive skin - almond oil is non-irritating and gentle on your skin.
- For acne - Almond oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties that can help with acne and inflammation.
- Prevention of stretch marks - by stimulating collagen production, the skin becomes more stable and can thus protect the skin from stretch marks.
- Repairs dry hair and nails
These are just a few examples of what almond oil is used for. We could continue the list much further 🙂
Attention allergy sufferers!
If you have a nut allergy in general, you should be cautious with almond oil. If you're prone to allergies in general or have extremely sensitive skin, we always recommend doing a small test beforehand. To do this, first apply a new product to your forearm and leave it on for 24 hours. If your skin doesn't react after 24 hours, you can use the product all over your body.
Now you know this powerful ingredient better. We love almond oil, especially in combination with shea butter; it's a great all-rounder with so much to offer! Long live the power of nature for your skin. 😉
